New Sony stereo resembles fashionable handbag

27/07/2005 | 10:36

Sony has revealed a new fully equipped stereo system styled like a woman's handbag.

While the product resembles a handbag, it does not contain any storage space, but its other amenities are impressive.

The player contains a radio tuner, CD player, and a television that only emits sound yet receives all basic channels.

It also has a tape deck, something rare for most modern audio players, proving that the audiocassette isn't dead yet.

Called the CFD-E100TV, the product has a remote control to facilitate its use, and is marketed towards females coming in colours of white and pink or white and light blue.

Currently the product is only available in Japan or on the internet, but should be headed to the UK later this year.
