A recent Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings, and Events (IMEX) study has determined that the meetings and incentive travel sector is back on track after three difficult years.
Research was gathered from 200 buyers in 12 European countries during the months of May and June.
The study found that client confidence is increasing, as are profits of companies involved in the business travel sector.
Statistics showed that 76 per cent of buyers and agencies expected their demand to increase over the coming 12 months, with a further 12 per cent saying they expected a "significant increase".
IMEX's overall conclusion was that the effects of September 11th appear to be dwindling, and demand for business travel is returning to pre-9/11 levels.
