Apple's latest shop will open in the Shibuya district of Tokyo on Saturday.
This will make it two Apple stores for Tokyo and bring it to a total of four throughout Japan.
Ron Johnson, Apples senior vice president of retail, commented: "Shibuyas vibrant shopping district is the perfect setting for an Apple retail store
Were thrilled to open our second store in Tokyo, where the Apple Store Ginza has been an incredible hit with customers."
The Shibuya Apple store is an interactive experience where customers can ask techno experts dubbed 'MacGeniuses' questions in addition to the usual retail sections for music, photography and movies and another section for kids.
Japan is a specialised case as the music industry has been very concerned over the management of digital music rights and also fears pricing songs too low.
This resulted in the delayed launch of an iTunes service in Japan, which went live earlier this week.
Live performances will be held all Japanese Apple stores to celebrate its iTunes music shop opening.
