Philips' Wireless Music System now available

11/08/2005 | 15:14

The wait is over for Philips' WACS700 Wireless Music Centre, which can be yours for £600 and a trip to Dixons.

It has wireless audio streaming functionality in addition to a 40 GB hard drive (capable of storing 10,000 MP3 songs), CD player, amplifiers and speakers.

The principle feature is the slave unit that comprises an amp and speakers and it can be positioned in any room, thereby allowing you to listen to music throughout your house without the wires.

Additional slave units can be purchased for £200 each and make it possible to listen to different songs on each unit simultaneously.

Furthermore, the WACS700 links up to your computer to enable music transfer and can convert tracks into MP3 format.

And if this isn't enough, the WACS700 also allows you to pause and play music in different rooms so that you don't miss a beat of your favourite tunes as you walk through the house.
