British skiers will soon have two more ways of getting to one of their favourite destinations in the Alps, as EasyJet announces new routes for the winter.
As of December 15th the budget airline will be operating daily flights between Edinburgh and Geneva, then a few days later they will launch a weekly flight there from Glasgow.
This will give Scottish skiers the chance to save money by organising their own holidays and to fly there from a much more convenient airport.
It is hoped that the venture will also encourage more Swiss tourists to visit Scotland and thus benefit the countrys economy.
This new service is a further boost for Glasgows growing winter ski market, says Stephen Baxter, managing director of Glasgow Airport.
He adds: Geneva is an excellent base for skiers with access to some of Europes best ski resorts.
Chamonix, Les Gets and Courmayeur are all within easy distance of the airport.
