For any games enthusiasts looking to part with a substantial amount of cash, the new Xbox 360 could be just the thing.
Microsoft has published the prices for the new equipment and it does not come cheap, as just the core system will cost £210.
The core system comprises a terminal with ethernet port, a wired controller, a faceplate and an AV cable.
If you want to go upmarket, then the premium version will set you back £280 and has a detachable 20 GB hard drive that you will need if you want to play original Xbox games.
The Xbox 360 is designed to provide top-of-the-range graphics and Robbie Bach, chief Xbox officer, highlighted its ability to offer "one-of-a-kind entertainment".
It "plays CDs, DVDs, MP3s and digital content from an array of devices, including portable music players and digital cameras," he said.
The extras that fans can purchase to add to their Xbox system range from a 64MB memory unit to a headset.
Silver membership tickets come with the Xbox 360 and these will allow players to chat to and text other players and download demos.
