A 'Group Save' promotion is running on some southeast trains this bank holiday weekend.

Under the offer, two people can travel free with two paying adults on cheap day return, savers or network 'Away Break' tickets to destinations in the southeast.

There are various other combinations available for different numbers of children and adults.

To take advantage of the 'Group Save' promotion there is no need to book and trains on the networks c2c, Chiltern Railways, First Great Western, First Great Western Link, 'one' Great Eastern, 'one' West Anglia, Silverlink, South Eastern Trains, South West Trains, Southern, Thameslink and Wagn Railways are involved in the offer.

London director of the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC), Paul Smith, urges families to use the railways in their bank holiday plans.

"The bank holiday weekend is a perfect time to get out and about, visit friends or see somewhere new. Our 'Group Save' offer is an ideal way for people to travel to hundreds of great places right across the South East of England at great prices and often in less time than travelling by road," he said.

More information about these deals can be found at participating railway stations.
