A new 102-room Holiday Inn Express has opened in Bloomington, Indiana in the US.
Holiday Inn is one of the world's major providers of holiday accommodation and operates in almost 1,500 locations worldwide.
Guests can take advantage of the 'Stay Smart' option, which offers an express start breakfast bar, smart roast in-room coffee, smart connect SM telecommunications, priority club rewards and a simply smart shower.
The 'simply smart' shower features a multi-functional showerhead and extra fluffy towels.
"Holiday Inn Express is designed to be the smart choice for value-conscious business and leisure travellers. As a leader in the segment, we are continuing to stay focused on brand innovation and guest satisfaction," said Verchele Mills from Holiday Inn Express' brand management team.
The various rooms on offer operate on a sliding scale: in addition to all the basics, the business traveller can make full use of a large desk with ergonomic chair, free high-speed internet access, copies of USA Today newspapers and two phones.
Holiday Inn Express received an Effie for sustained success in 2004 and continues to be a widely used hotel chain.
