A showcase of Philips' new consumer electronic products takes place this week in Berlin.
Its 8000 square metre stand will display a number of impressive consumer technologies at the world's biggest electronics fair.
Philips, one of the world's top three consumer electronics companies, will be displaying a number of highlights. On display will be a full range of LCD and plasma screen televisions, a unique cordless videophone and a new range of GoGear music players.
Products such as High Definition TV (HDTV) services, to be launched over the next 18 months in Europe, are to be the cutting edge of consumer electronics offering unrivalled picture quality.
Rudy Provoost, Philips' chief executive officer, said the products were "not only bold and challenging but intuitive and enabling, designed for people who live life to the full".
He added that, "above all they combine sense with simplicity".
Intel, the US chipmaking company, has set up a joint initiative with Philips to produce home entertainment systems with Intel chips. The new technology will allow consumers to watch two channels and whilst also saving music and photos on their television.
